Learning to Walk

This is my little monster when he learned to walk 2 weeks ago. He is such a live wire! I love the rockstar pose every time he walks. Apparently one hand in the air helps with his balance... or he just thinks he looks cool!
He is so busy and runs everywhere now! I was reading something (no idea what, it's been that kind of a week!) the other day that pointed out how funny it is that we get so excited about things like walking, talking and rolling over. Most kids do these things; the fact that ours have achieved it is not really that remarkable. And yet, for each child it is such a huge accomplishment. You only have to watch this little face to see how much he is concentrating when he moves those feet. And yet, in a few years he won't even think about the fact that he is running and climbing and jumping. I guess it's something to remember next time we are struggling with something. It seems like a big mountain at the time, but in a year we probably won't even remember it.Sometimes it's nice to have a rest!
