I got an e-mail last night that this little guy will be adopted by his new family on the 23rd. We're so happy for him. I was just saying last week how sad it is that his forever family was going to miss out on him being so cute at this stage. He has just been adorable recently.
We are going to miss him terribly though. There are some kids who have such vibrant personalities that you really feel their loss when they leave. Not that we don't miss all of our kids, but there are some who change the whole feeling of the house when they leave. This tiny man will be one of those.
Hopefully we'll be able to do the placement at our house so that we can all meet the family (otherwise I'll have to take him through to the social worker office in Pretoria). If we can do it at home it will be easier for him, and also hopefully will help the other kids understand what is going on. For them it is the same as losing a sibling, they get very confused and clingy for a while.
We will miss you baby!!!
